New landlord laws
In March this year, the NSW Government introduced new real estate and property industry reforms, bringing changes to the laws that govern real estate agents and property managers in NSW. This included new landlord laws.
The reforms were designed to raise the standard of real estate operations in NSW, and one of the new rules is for all landlords to read and understand the Landlord Information Statement.
This statement clearly outlines the rules that are relevant to landlords, to ensure you fully grasp the rights and responsibilities of both you and your tenant.
It is also now a requirement that landlords sign the Landlord Information Statement Acknowledgement, to confirm that they have read and understand the information in the statement.
Please contact us if you still need to sign the statement, or require further information.
